Edited by: Red Askulf on 10/06/2011 06:54:00 I've searched and not found a solution for this, so bear with a newb if this is rehashing.
Trying to start client, I get the error: Your EVE installation may have modified, damaged, or corrupt files please re-install or run repair.exe
Ran repair, didn't work. Re-installed, played once, and same message upon attempt to play a second time. I don't want to have to re-install each time I play.
Searching brings up that this is an old problem, but the old fixes don't look like they'll work given how different /bin/ looks now from 4 years ago. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.
Here is what repair.exe told me to look at... I think.

Yes that RAM is right. I mess with large batches of photos. Yes I know I need to upgrade to 7 enterprise to get the full 24gb. Yes I play in 1360x768. I hooked up an HDTV to my pc and EVE doesn't like going above the crappy native resolution, even though it can go to 1920x1080 (in hindsight, I should've done more research on that). With everything else cranked it still looks pretty amazing though so I'm not worried about it.
Thanks for any help in advance. I'm enjoying this game so far. "One murder makes a villain, millions a hero." |
